Greeters: This persons primary role is to create an inviting and warm environment for all! This person will smile and welcome church visitors and members as they enter our building. They will identify guests and connect them with a host at the Connection Center if they need help with information or finding something specific like children's ministry, rest rooms, a Sunday School class, etc. This volunteer would serve once a month for 35 minutes before the first or second Sunday service, and some special services (Christmas Eve, Good Friday, etc).
Connection Center Host: This person will smile, look for and greet guests, and make connections. They will offer any needed assistance to guests, answer questions, take people to rooms they are looking for, assist as needed for signups on iPads, ask first-time visitors to fill our a Connection Card, and distribute new visitor bags. The volunteer in this role should be familiar with activities and classes at TCCC. In this role, volunteers will serve once a month for 20 minutes before the first or second Sunday service and 15 minutes after the service ends.
Ushers: This volunteer will look for and welcome guests, escorting them to an open seat as needed. This person will answer questions about the service, engage in brief, friends conversation with people in the sanctuary before services start, especially first-time guests or those who are sitting by themselves. Users will serve communion and receive offerings, close worship center doors once service begins and open the doors once congregation is dismissed. This person will serve 2-3 times a month for first or second service.
Worship Center Door Greeters: This person will greet everyone just outside the Worship Center doors with a smile. Volunteers will offer bulletins to those attending services, close doors once service begins, open doors for late arrivals, and greet for five minutes after service begins. This person will serve once a month for 20 minutes prior to the first or second Sunday service.
Section Host: This person will greet and converse with folks in their section of the Worship Center. They will get to know and be familiar with congregation members or first-time visitors and will be observant of those missing in attendance and contact them. This person will serve three times a month, ten minutes prior to the first or second Sunday service.
Discipleship/Small Group Leader: This volunteer will lead and facilitate a group of 3 to 20 in making/growing disciples. This person will be interviewed and approved by the Connections Team and will attend leader trainings when given. This volunteer must agree and sign TCCC's Statement of Faith. This person will serve a minimum of 3 months. It is possible to have more than one leader per group to split up responsibilities.
Grief Share Leader: Grief Share is a grief support group that meets throughout the year for community, teaching, and fellowship. Grief Share Leaders will coordinate and facilitate a 12 session video series in helping people with grief due to the loss of a loved one. Recruitment of an apprentice/co-leader will be a possibility. This volunteer will serve a minimum of two 12-week sessions over a 12-month period and must be interviewed and approved by the Connections Team.
Decision Guide: This volunteer assesses and helps people who come forward at the end of service for prayer, rededication, baptism, or counsel. The Decision Guide will help individuals complete the decision form and assist in baptistry rooms as needed for candidates for baptism. This person must be a member of TCCC, receive 1 hour of training, and sign TCCC's Statement of Faith.

Men's Ministry- Barnabas Team: This team is made up of men or women who are servant mindedand complete a variety of odd jobs around a home that cannot be done by the resident. A particular skill set is not necessary in this role but is helpful for jobs such as raking leaves, tree trimming, gutter cleaning, moving furniture, etc. Work is typically done in teams on an as needed basis.
Refresh: This team will manage food and room set up/tear down for Wednesday night Refresh sessions.
Special Events: These volunteers would assist in setting up for special events, serving as a hostess/greeter, decorating tables, and assisting with any needs specific to each event.
Meal Servers: In the event there are meals prior to Refresh on Wednesday evenings, Prayer Nights, or any church event with food services, volunteers are needed to assist in serving food and beverages and to help with cleanup.
Bereavement Meals: The Bereavement Meal is provided to a Tates Creek Church member’s family when they are not in a small group or their small group is unable to provide the meal. Volunteers are needed to set up food tables, receive food, provide a dish, serve food and beverages, clean up. A volunteer does not have to do all of the needs for these meals, just assist in any they are able.
Baptistry Hostess: Volunteers are needed to help with washing the baptistry garments and towels.
Bud Vase Ministry: This ministry team would take a flower in a vase to a church member in need of encouragement. The team member would call the individual and request to visit prior to taking the flowers.
