our next session of refresh begins january 31!

adult study

During this session of Refresh, we will be diving into the study "How to Use the Bible--Part I" led by Kevin Kennedy. Why are there so many translations of the Bible? Isn't the Bible full of errors? How did we get the Bible? Why is the Bible so difficult to understand? These days, there are many challenges to the Bible and sometimes Christians lack the confidence to respond to them. This class is designed not only to answer such arguments, but to provide you with tools which will enrich your understanding and grant you new insights. We will explore how we learn about God, how the Bible came to us, the value of translations (and how to choose the best versions for your use), how inspiration works, how to use Bible references like commentaries and atlases, the effect of culture, how the Bible is structured, the importance of genre, the value of the canon (and non-canonical books), and much more! This course is designed to make your study time more productive, but also more enjoyable. Come and join the fun!

beginning April 10

Prayer Class

Just before Jesus gives us the Lord's prayer, his Disciples ask "Lord, teach us to pray." Even those closest to Jesus needed to ask to be taught on how they can communicate with God.

Starting April 10, we will be hosting a six-week prayer class during Refresh taught be Mason Ballard, Robert Vela and Garnett Langley. If your prayer life is in need of a bit more grounding, this class might be for you. We will be learning biblical foundations for prayer as well as reflecting on the rhythms of Jesus. Join us to see how being reminded of the basics of faith can be one of the most revitalizing thing we can do for our spiritual formation.
